Lunar Gala 2022

Creating an identity for Pittsburgh’s largest fashion show, annually showcasing student talents across fashion, dance, sound, design, photography, and more.


As the Creative Director of Lunar Gala 2022, I led Print, Motion, Photo, Web, and PR teams to create the Eternal Garden, embodying an elegant remeberance of youth. Over 9 months, I co-directed the show theme, branding, PR strategy, and oversaw the designing of our themed website, social media, posters, merchandise, and a show booklet. I also designed and crafted a stage that brought The Eternal Garden to hundreds in the audience at the Carnegie Music hall and on livestream.

Our Creative Team collaborated closely with the show Producers, Production, Cinemetography, Design, Dance, Sound, and Model teams to bring The Eternal Garden to life on March 20, 2022.

The Eternal Garden Identity

The Eternal Garden is a return to the garden that lives within each of us. We tend to the flowers, dance across the grass, and feel the warmth of youth shine upon our skin. In this mysterious yet familiar world, we rediscover our inner child...


To create a delicate balance between the elegance of high fashion and whimsicality of youth, our bright colors are softened with elegant patterns and goregeous gradients. Our typefaces compliment the elegant linework of our patterns and illustrations.








To incorporate whimsical and youthful illustrations across our brand assets while maintaining sophistication, we designed three teirs of illustrations that allow for versatile heirarchies with type and image



Promotional Material

After the branding process, I directed the designing of show promotion material across web, motion, photo, and print teams.










































Show Day Material

For the show day, we designed elegantly embossed booklets that told the story of the Eternal Garden and showcased each fashion line. We also designed internal and public show merchandise.



















Stage Design

I took a spontaneous opportunity to design and hand-craft the show stage on a limited budget. With $500, we brought the Eternal Garden to life, featuring full sized eye-ball flowers.
