Rain Dance
Rain Dance is an asphalt art project and open mic event created to bring safety to a five way intersection in Pittsburgh. I designed a visual system complete with print pieces, social media, and environmental installations and signage, to encourage the neighborhood to come to celebrate song and dance, rain or shine.

Rain Dance is an asphalt art project purposed as a saftey intervention for five-way intersection in Pittsburgh. I designed a visual campaign to invite the local community to help paint the intersection and celebrate with an open mic event on May 8th and 9th, 2021.
The theme, Rain Dance, is inspired by the frequent rainy days in Pittsburgh. Since rainy days often bring down the mood, Rain Dance encourages and celebrates the whimsical spirit dance on rainy (and sunny) days.

I designed various interactive installations, park signage, and social media posts to further encourage particiaption and interactivity with the event, as well as the park. Lingering quotes and questions amongst floating umbrellas encourage passerbys to think about their loved ones while celebrating the spirit of dance. Next time you cross the street, don’t forget to look both ways and do a little dance!
